This guy better watch out. He will experience the wrath of an entrenched DFL stalwart. She, her friends in high places, and the Government establishment will be watching him.

She's been a representative since Minnesota became a state. Or since FDR was president. She is the longest serving politician only next to Fidel Castro. She never ran for governor or Senator. I like her because She's not politically ambitious. And I like the stability and continuity her dictatorship brings.

After one meeting he's ready for a higher office? PLEASE! Show what you can do for the school kids in Minneapolis to prove you're capable before advancing your self interests.

In 2004, Kahn was charged with theft for removal of Republican campaign literature from doorsteps of several houses. The charges were dropped when she agreed to pay a $200 fine

Kahn was a leading opponent of efforts by DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis to construct an athletic field on its campus in her neighborhood on Nicollet Island, giving her views vehemently and frequently at public hearings. Ultimately, the school was allowed to build the field.

Who cares who wins? Folks in that district don't want freedom. They elect people who tell them how to live their life down to the minutest detail in exchange for a safety hammock and a shrill promise of free stuff paid for by others. Problem is their votes affect the rest of us as well. I doubt the new guy would be any better than Kahn.

I remember that in the 1990s she tried getting reimbursed for the bananas she consumed while she road her bike to the capitol. She thought it was wrong that outstate reps got a mileage reimbursement and she didn't. A classic urban DFLer.
