Ironic how Favre extended Childress's contract and Ponder shortened Frazier's.

John Fox in Denver? I could coach that team with Peyton Manning as QB.....someone tell me why Wilf's didn't go after Peyton when he was a free agent?....after all, they say money isn't a factor(as proved by the Farve era)....

The main problem is that Spielman is the one making this decision or any decisions having to do with the Vikings.

Maybe you'd trust Spielman if he were an epileptic? Is that what you're trying to say Souhan? No one has trusted a word you've written since your "Kill has more seizures than big 10 wins" line.

Good times for the Minny sports fan. Please let 2014 give us something positive. (Long live Walter White!!)

Let's not forget the MN media's part in this debacle. They endlessly and toothlessly parroted the Frazier/Spielman line about Ponder's supposed improvement at the end of 2012 for the ENTIRE off-season. On the eve of the season Souhan wrote a column proclaiming that the Vikings could do well this year if Ponder continued with this phantom improvement. Most fans could see after less than two years that Ponder was weak-armed, couldn't hit receivers on the outside, locked in on a single target, had a tendency to run when he should've been going through his reads and a tendency to go into the fetal position when he should've run. Too bad the media looked at the 4-0 record to end last year, instead of using their eyes (or their gut).

Many people agreed with some of Souhan's comments related to coach Kill. I an glad he was wrong, but I understood his point of view. Can we just get over it?

One factor that will help the Vikes is an unlimited budget. They have to sell club seats and that means motivating the fans. Money still talks and Vikes will be willing to spend whatever amount is needed to hire the best possible candidate.

Since guys, like Belichek, who've been fired and considered unlikable have then gone on to success. I give you the next Vikings head coach: Mr. Lane Kiffen!
