Wolves: We were robbed

  • Article by: JERRY ZGODA , Star Tribune

When it was all over and they had carefully selected their words in attempts to ease their frustration without lightening their wallets, the Timberwolves lamented Monday’s 100-98 home loss to Dallas both because of their astoundingly uneven performance and Kevin Love’s still presumably incomplete superstar status.

Whistle, meet pocket. Ouch.

NBA officiating is hard to watch. Still, Wolves very sloppy falling behind by 20. Wolves showed at the end that they ARE capable of playing good defense when they give the effort.....need to see that the whole game.

How much did Dallas pay those "zebras" so they can win this game?

5 points scored by our bench in the game. F-I-V-E. Great comeback...but good lord, that isn't going to get it done.

Been saying it for a few years. They either blow a big lead and lose or they come back from a big deficit and lose. Still, no reason there isnt a call at the end. i think Love has earned. Others in the league would have got that call. Joke.

AGAIN, FOUR of the last FIVE possessions go through PEKOVIC???? Result, one basket, two turnovers. Pek is not Mr. Clutch. Why does Love not get the ball? Why did Adelman sit Love for so long after his hot third quarter? Who was allegedly covering Marion? Martin again disappeared in the second half. The bench provided a grand total of FIVE points and NINE turnovers. Rubio played a good floor game and decent defense but your starting point guard MUST score more than FOUR points. And despite all that, the Wolves only lose by two points. Love needs to get in Rubio's face and say, "Give me the d--- ball!"

Geezuz ... Loss is bad enough, but those officials will never be held accountable as always. Maybe an NBA no name will suggest a foul should have ben called and that will be that. Those blatant no calls really make it hard for more fans to follow the NBA. Aside from that horrific no call, i really Wish we had a legit SG

That last non foul call was amazing! Love was hacked on the arm so bad! I can't even believe it. That being said, the TWolves let another opportunity slip away by not beating a beatable team at home to get a long winning streak going. Very frustrating.

So Brewer finally hits a few shots..The bench stinks..That's killing this team..Love is a monster..The starters are excellent..Rubio still can't shoot...Notice that Trey Burke is probably gonna be rookie of the year..We didn't need him..We didn't need a backup point guard that can score..instead, we drafted a high pick that can't get off the bunch..Another year, another blown draft pick..Doesn't matter is who is in charge of this jinxed franchise..

packerpumperDec. 30, 13 9:54 PM

Sadly. Rubio has not even been looking to shoot lately. In a weird way i'd almost rather see him engage in a few shots hit or miss ... Not a good sign IMO.
