As a Brit, tired of her wet country, I would welcome another winter spent in fabulous Minnesota. Last year, I spent three months there, walking, riding the bus to meet up with friends, and generally having fun bundling up in layers, merino socks and thick-soled boots. I'd prefer a MN winter, dry, sunny to bone-aching old UK anytime. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
