The defensive end could be headed elsewhere after not missing a game since joining the Vikings in 2008.

It was fun and thanks for the great defense. Too bad ANOTHER Viking will not ever see a super bowl….

Jared is a year older than B-Rob who got a contract extension. SIGN HIM WILF. Back load a 3 year deal at $11-12M a year! We can not a let another stud D-lineman leave with 2-3 years of greatness left in the tank (Hello John Randle ring a bell anyone???).

A great player to have and watch. He should be solid no matter where he goes our what he does, and all Viking fans will surely miss him.

I'm a life long Packer fan, but Allen is one of those guys - great on the field and classy off the field - that all football fans just gotta love. Two years ago he signed a football for my son at the St. Thomas football camp, then grinned and wrote "Packer hater" in parentheses, and mussed his hair. Highlight of my kid's summer. In light of that, I don't know how comfortable he would be in green and gold. But, man, we'd sure take him.

Jared has been an absolute blessing for us Viking fans as well. He has been a joy to watch. Not resigning him would be another huge Viking mistake.

hmmm, found his purpose in Green Bay. Perhaps the Packers sign Allan and create a nightmare for opposing offenses with Mathews on one side and Allan on the other.
