I hope your prediction is wrong. The Vikings have no business trying to win thisa game. Not if they want to draft a franchise quarterback. A victory takes the Vikings out of the top 10, and close to the middle of the draft's pecking order. That makes it too easy for a buffoon like Rick Spielman to reach on another unqualified, inaccurate passer like Christian Ponder. Frazier and his inept staff deserve to be fired. Forget about all the poor play calling, bad game planning, inability to think and react quickly during games, or merely knowing NFL rules...Frazier and staff deserve their firings because they didn't have the players ready to play. Another criticism I have is that top-rated rookies like Patterson, Rhodes, and Floyd weren't worked into the regular lineups until late in the season. Rick Spielman should also be shown the door. Spielman's also responsible for panicking, and hastily drafting Christian Ponder. And he's had way too many misses in the draft. Tyrel Johnson? Chris Cook? Mistrel Raymond? Josh Robinson? Is anybody in their right mind still wondering why our secondary is so awful? And then to top all of that off, Spielman releases Winfield and makes no moves in free-agency to shore up the worst defensive backfield in the NFL. The Minnesota Vikings organization has NO business trying to compete in, and win this meaningless football game. The front office, coaching staff, and the players have laid down repeatedly all season when it mattered. If they truly want to get better, they need to lose. Its not something we're unaccustomed to seeing from the Vikings anyways.

twinsfanwy1: No NFL team ever tries to lose, period. It is a business. Players are always fighting for spots in a league with very high roster turnover. While I hope they lose to improve their draft position, anyone knowledgable about the NFL knows that the vikings will be trying very hard to win today.

Really equal4all55? Take a look at the highlight of the opening kickoff of Tampa Bay's last game of the season. The Bucs had to lose to guarantee the number 1 pick at the time (Vinny Testaverde)-watch that and then tell me teams don't tank it at the end wshen it comes to draft positioning.
