After three terms, Mayor R.T. Rybak steps down this week.

One issue will be his legacy, and history will remember. Denying the residents a vote guaranteed by Charter is his defining moment. All the good things he accomplished will be dimmed because of the stadium.

Rybak sold out his constituents with the Vikings stadium. He was going to let the voters "decide" if his sell-out was appropriate at the next election? Recognized that the voters had noticed that he had sold them out to the NFL, and his re-election chances were nil. Good ridance to a future Wilf employee. Or maybe he'll end up as an advisor to the stadium committee. Mondale negotiated away the taxpayers dollars, and got rewarded with a plum job disbursing taxpayer money to private enterprise. Why shouldn't Rybak go feed at the same trough?
