Yet another stupid government mandate. First, they have the info on the packaging. Now they'll have it on the machine. Next they'll employ people to sit next to you and tell you how many calories you've eaten with each bite.

I know how many calories or fat grams are in a candy bar. Just because they put it on the machine I really don't think that is going to make people choose something healthier. If they want a candy bar they are going to buy it. I wish the govt would just start minding their own business. All this is going to do is raise the price of a candy bar.

Yes, it will be helpful to those who watch their calorie intake. Some people, myself included, would probably buy something from the vending machine if I knew the calorie content. Now, I just ignore them. Fast food establishments have started putting up the calories but they do have their nutional sheets available, if you ask. The vendors only make a "few thousand" profit?? How do they stay in business, then?

Tell me big giant government what I need! I'm so lost and don't know how I've managed to thrive without your constant oversight. I was thinking of having a beer. Would that be alright???? Please get back to me asap!!!

What next?!! But we can't have labeling of genetically modified? The chemical 'aspartame' is now being hid by calling it natural flavor or amino sweet. Such fraud and deception.

The Founding Fathers never envisioned a nation where the government tried to control what you eat and drink.

How about a voice activated recorder that comes on when you deposit your money that says, "You're fat, you're fat, you're fat?"

The packaging already contains this information, what about just turning the packing around so it can be seen?

The end is near. Caloric labels on vending machines? This is proof positive the end is very near. Its hard to believe the Nanny Staters have decimated the culture of this country but its true. Jim Morrison sang about this the song The End.

These are the consequences of electing people who pass bills so they can find out what is in them.
