MADISON, Wis. — Talk of cutting taxes in Wisconsin is starting to grow heading into a major election year.

Once it's been eliminated, an income tax would be hard to reinstate. It would be foolish to make a long term change based on a one year surplus.

Wisconsin's property taxes are already outrageous. As a cabin owner there, I can see our tax bill doubling if they eliminate the income tax. Maybe we'll just sell and get a cabin in Minnesota.

Wisconsin is circling the drain faster than I thought. My aging parents are putting their house up for sale and moving to Minnesota, thank God.

Have you driven on Wisconsin's state highways lately? For what you'll save in taxes, you'll be buying/replacing your shocks and wheels, so go ahead and boast your low taxes, Mr. Walker. You aren't saving anyone anything - you're actually costing your residents more with that Tea Party play.
