“It won’t have any impact on the stadium financing,” she said. “They’re clearly able to continue with their investment.”...Whether they are able to pay their share is irrelevant. The Wilfs are as shady as they come, and as such, not one cent of taxpayer money should be used to allow them to get even richer than they already (supposedly) are.

Here are some Judge Wilson comments: To my knowledge, there has never been a case like this in New Jersey jurisprudence - Judge Wilson. Judge Wilson concluded that the Wilfs engaged in organized-crime-type activities in the bookkeeping practices. Judge Wilson pointed to the testimony of Zygi Wilf as evidence of bad faith and evil motive. I do not believe I have seen one single financial statement that is true and accurate, said Judge Wilson. Wilfs’ conduct was grossly willful. And it was done repeatedly. Judge Wilson found that the Wilfs and their cousin, Leonard, liable for fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. She also found that they violated the New Jersey civil racketeering statute. They robbed their partners – Judge Wilson

Someone please setup a counter that summates the total "fine" and then the additional daily interest accrued that will be due to the plaintiffs. I would really like to see that. They already LOST so this is their plan? To perhaps keep appealing until the plaintiffs are dead?? As for Dayton getting involved with these people, a horribly naive and bad decision.

Just because they have been found guilty of fraud and deceit doesn't mean that Minnesota should be cautious in any financial dealings with them.

Thank you Gov.Dayton and those involved with these crooks being OKed to go ahead with the stadium. We wont know for a long time if they will be able to pay their share and the state is taxing cigarettes and the people to fund this family's money making stadium? This makes Minnesota look very stupid.

Izzy96Dec. 21, 13 9:47 AM

Why is everyone surprised that the people with all the money have a seedy side?

Izzy96Dec. 21, 13 9:55 AM

And why is it the Wilf's do not want to disclose their finances? Because people like Minnesota taxpayers would be outraged if they knew the Wilf's could build 20 new Vikings stadiums with 100% of their own money and still be able to stuff a few billion away each year for retirement and debt service of all their other entities.
