Good signing. Now get Stephan Drew & some power for the lineup. K. Moralyes or dare I say N. Cruz?

He's a great clubhouse leader - a real pro who has been an addition to every team he has played on. He is now in a perfect roll as a mentor to young Pinto. Suzuki was never a great hitter, but will be a good defensive coach to an up and coming rookie, and can only help as Pinto's pro career moves forward. It's a good signing.

I have liked Suzuki for a long time. Good sign. He and Pinto working back there will give us some flexibility. I'd love to see Nelson Cruz as well...but he is a butcher in the outfield. Do you think he's better than Delmon out there, or worse?

Chris Herrman can hit .200 with a .600 OPS and play good defense. Why bother shelling out $2.5M for Suzuki?

I don't understand this at all. OBP in last 5 seasons: .290, .276, .301, .303, .313. Why pay for this production (or lack thereof)? My grandma could draw more walks and hit more extra-base hits.

When will local media ever break a story involving a local team?

NOT my first choice ,but still a good sign by the twins.

Suzuki threw out 12% of baserunners in 2013 (8 CS in 65 attempts), and 15% of baserunners in 2012 (5 CD in 33 attempts).

I like this move (or series of moves, to be more accurate), with the Doumit trade, Nolasco and Hughes signings, (zero-risk) Kubel and Bartlett signings, moving Mauer to first, when compared to the realistic alternatives (Pierzynski, Morneau, etc.). On the whole, it seems to be moving in the right direction - although maybe not as big or fast as I might have liked.

and don't worry about his diminishing offensive stats, just wait to see improvement now that he's with a real hitting coach.
