Shouldn't this be front page news? So with 4 days to go King Obama waives his hand and expects that all these people who lost coverage because of HIS law can now just go back to where they were before? Amazing.

What he (Obama) and the article fail to mention is that the plans that were cancelled cannot just be re-started or a new plan created in 4 days. It's not possible. It's amazing that we've gone from if you like your plan and doctor and it's the "Law of the Land" to waiving his wand by fiat to try and plug the holes. Yet it won't do that at all, he's doing it purely for political cover. Epic fail.

By what authority can Obama break his own law? Utterly no curiosity by the press, but that's what we've come to expect from them.

I thought that only congress could change laws? Seems like Obama is overstepping his authority.

This disasterous idea and complete failure is now trying to be fixed by a guy who set it up and has absolutely no business experience. It's like going to an auto repair shop and hiring a mechanic to do brain surgery. The Supreme Court will start to unwind this failed experiment when they hear the case before them in March. They will rule against the laws dictated by Obamacare to private business that requires them to violate their private religious beliefs. This will trigger thousands of businesses to seek cover from Obamacare under this new ruling. Even the federal gov't won't be able to stem the tide on the new lawsuits that will follow and this experiment will self destruct. Don't look now but our self declared "king" has become inmpotent.

I'll wait for the the lefties on this board to again bring up that obamacare is the "law of the land" and can't be changed. Oh, wait, King Obama is different because he has a D after his name.

The "law of the land" ... but not until after the 2014 election, despite what the law reads.

Historically, presidents and their top administrators are given wide leeway in the rate and methods they use to implement legislation. I cite the following from the Strib of November 13, 2013: "In the first month of his presidency, Obama started putting into effect fuel efficiency standards that his predecessor, President George W. Bush, had signed but declined to implement."

I love how this story is buried in the health section of the paper. This is Obama's landmark legislation. And something this big is relegated to here? No, no bias at all.
