Niklas Backstrom, filling in for Josh Harding, gave up a goal 49 seconds in, and a 5-on-3 went nowhere in the third period.

Thank the Lord Pittsburgh was injury-depleted. We may have lost 11-2, This team is tough to watch sometimes. They seem clueless, don't shoot enough, try to get perfect shot. Power play stinks. And they do not play well with Backstrom in net. Yeo?????????

This was a coaching disaster. Penguins have 11 regulars out of the lineup and played an overtime, road game last night. Best approach is to have the Wild have a very quick start. So what does Yeo do, he starts Brodziak's line!! Sure he wanted Cooke to be in the starting lineup but any half-decent bantam coach knows you can not put a player's "feel good" before the team's. What happens....Pittsburgh score a few seconds into the game and the whole complexion turns immediately. To make matters worse, Yeo shows his lack of coaching ability by having Heatley on the ice for the last minute of the first period. Any, any decent coach knows you do not want to give up a goal in the first or last minute of a period. These are not rookie coaching mistakes, they are fool's coaching.

I see more emotion from a local Pewee C team than his load of rubbish. The former allstar now is tied with "Captain" Koivu for goals this season with 7. How pathetic is that? The guy that is nearly scratched every night because he's such a liability is tied for goals with our team's captain.

The Wild will be fighting for the 8th playoff spot right up until the final week of the season, if we make then another early exit vs. Chicago, just like a rerun.

So predictable.. What's not predictable is Heater for all the raspberry's ya'll have been giving him this year is now tied with Captain K with 7 goals..Sad!! Fletcher and The Brass should be ashamed for blowing smoke our way that all these young prospects were going to tear it up.. Minus NiƱo and Brodin the other 6-7 youngsters have a combined 12 goals.. Coyle is a huge disappointment IMO.. 4 goals for the amount of ice time he gets is unacceptable and he plays like a Creampuff.. Too many soft D men that can't/ refuse to clean out the crease.. All recipe's for disaster..

Wow, so the Pens were missing 11 starters and still destroyed us. While we have a mediocre roster and one of the worst AHL teams in the league. Boy, Chuck Fletcher has really built a strong and deep roster. What a joke.

The pregame was all abou how Yeo being a assistant coach at Pittsburgh knew how the PP works and thier lines work to score at Pitt Yeo sure showed what he knows tonite which is nothing. He needs to go he is not a percentage type coach to get the most out of the players he has. Now after the game, the commentators are saying, well Pitt is the best team in the league with Cyndy Crosby, I would have hated to see what the score would have been if all of the 11 Penguins who are out on injureu would have been playing 21-2 What a pathetic game. The Wild were running around like jack rabbits on skates I think they better try and get a better back up goalie as Gustafson is not experienced enough yet and Backstrom cant stop the shots especially the rebounds, he just bounces the puck righ out in front of the net for rebound goals. GET A NEW COACH....WHAT A DISASTER1111

5 d guys out of the line up, the Wild looked like they worked pretty hard in that third period for a while, I wondered why that was so I looked at the Penguins schedule and sure enough they played last night..... hehehe..... Only if we had Vanek it would have been different, we just need more talent

Ouch, that was a real spanking. Out hustled, muscled and out coached again.

rsmaggiemae1949Dec. 19, 13 9:07 PM

Lets see in 2000 the Wild signed Pascal Depuis and he had a injury problem but played during the lockout in 2004-2205 in Switzerland and then the Wild traded him to the Rangers for Adam Hall I am sure he was not good enough to play for the great Wild what a joke.. The Wild scouts have made many terrible picks for the team, and some of the trades like Leddy were just really really sad.
