If one is an illeagal alien, you are breaking a law. You should expect to be deported. Shouldn't an illegal alien want to become a citizen?

The claim that deportation increased under obama is false. The obama regime started counting people turned away at the border as being deported. You cannot trust anything coming out of his mouth or his loyalists.

step 1 enforce the border; step 2 give priority to citizens and immigrants following the law; step 3 give illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. Amnesty with an open border will bring another flood of illegal immigrants. Deportations should continue for felony offenders.

If your life could be upended any day by deportation, I can see where gaining legal status to work here is the biggie. Access to all public 'welfare' programs great......vote and run for office DISTANT third.

The sooner illegals aliens are deported, the sooner legal immigrants will find a place and thrive here. The solution is clear, only political parties attempt to defraud the nation.

The sooner all illegal aliens are deported as a matter of course, the sooner legal immigrants will find a place and thrive here. The solution is clear, the costs will be bourne by those who employ, rent, and attempt to help finance them. Only political parties attempt to defraud the nation with our current policy of defying the law.

And on the next page is the article where the democrats want to increase unemployment because there are not enough jobs for our citizens. Only to the left would this make sense!

Why is this a "critical issue" right now? Oh I know, o that the parties can use it to buy votes in upcoming elections. Our political system has really lost focus.

"Our political system has really lost focus" - We need to relegate the commercio-political party back to the private sector and eliminate them from the public sector. There is no reason any groups should emerge in representative government other than those which naturally occur surrounding individual issues, not party platforms and groups of issues. Treat elected government like the military and we'll have this mess cleaned up in no time.
