Wild have won two straight vs teams they are competing with for playoff spots. It would have been better to win those games in regulation but wins are wins. Take 'em. Now here's hoping they can beat up on the Eastern Conference again and handle Winnipeg next Friday.

This has been a good rivalry over the years but in the past the Nuks have simply had a more talented team. That is not the case anymore as the Wild are just as talented and may even have an edge in talent when Granny comes back. If Bulmer can improve a bit more to provide that 3rd guy on the 3rd line who can get pucks in deep and actually run a cycle with Brodziak and Cooke it would be huge. He looks to be a little less akward and bit more filled out than a couple of years ago. If Bulmer can get the job done there the Wild would be one big/stud right D away from being an elite team in the NHL. In any event, they are much more enjoyable to watch as they are consistantly completing 3 or more tape to tape passes in a row these days which was not happening in past years very often. I haven't turned a game off and walked away yet this year as the skill level is very enjoyable to watch. They still need to get bigger/tougher to be one of the elite teams in the NHL but they are improving.

I guess Mikko's two assists for a team leading 20 don't merit mentioning Mike? Or that he is tied with Parise in total points? Keep that local, home-grown p/r machine humming Sid, I mean Mike.

Hards was huge tonight especially in the 3rd. Easily the club MVP so far this season, and actually, I can't see that changing for the rest of the year. Give him the belt right now...

Russo, you used one of my grammatical pet peeves in the opening...you say that Tortorella "could care less." No! It's actually the he "couldn't care less." If he could care less then it actually has some meaning to him. Sorry to be a stickler for grammar but that one always bugs me. Editor must be on break...

Harding is playing very well, but it is December. As I recall, the Wild had the best record in the NHL about this time last year. Lets see how things look when we hit March 1. Koivu has really stepped up his game, as have the D. Scandella has really reached another level this year. The young bucks are starting to mature.

I don't think we were playing, this time last year... The lockout seem like ages ago, doesn't it?
