Maybe the global cooling is occurring as scientist predicted back in the 1970's......

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Hey Truckman, maybe you should head over to Paul Douglas's blog and read the latest numbers from global satellite and ground based measurements that show November 2013 as the warmest ever on record. The northern US and Canada are cold, but elsewhere, warming trends continue.

Your rebuttal is Paul Douglas's blog! A guy that has made millions off the global warming hype and now you expect people to believe his numbers!

ok....november was warmest, december was coldest. more proof of nothing. love101, you tell truckman to check out paul douglas. how bout if you check out the report from the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) who says that actually the globe hasnt warmed in over 15 years. more proof of nothing. besides dont you know that its "climate change" not global warming. since the globe isnt warming the narrative had to change.

Hmm..let's see. Coldest recorded temp ever in Antarctica in 2010, they almost tied it this summer, and now the coldest temps in December here since 1972. Yep. Global warming at its best!

Call it whatever you want, but living in the upper Midwest sucks beyond belief...I thought we were done with these kind of winters after the last decade or two...Silly me...Time to head West...

Here is my question about Global Warming Climate Cooling Change (GWCCC), record cold/snowfall/what not have been reported as of late. Climate trends have shown cooling temperatures over the last what, 17 years now. So how does that fit into global warming? Because you can't have it both ways. If it's warming that's proof, if it's cooling that is proof, if it's raining that's proof, if the sun is out that's proof, if it's Tuesday that is proof. The climate constantly changes, always has always will, so why now is it suddenly going to kill us all?

Global. Not Minnesota or Antarctica. Global.

Joe BobDec. 16, 1312:08 PM

During the winter, cold air is typically trapped at Arctic latitudes by a strong west-to-east circular air movement known as the Polar Vortex. As the Arctic warms, high pressure systems can develop and the vortex can weaken or collapse altogether, resulting in atypical north-to-south air flows. That is what is happening now – air that would typically be constrained to above 50^N is being displaced to our region.
