MEMPHIS – On Friday in San Antonio, Spurs guards Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili attacked the basket with impunity and produced a fourth-quarter comeback victory over the Timberwolves.

I think of a lot of the Wolves second unit's scoring issues is on J.J. Barea. I think that Flip needs to find a point guard/ball handler to run it. At this point, I don't see how inserting the rookies into the second unit would make it any worse. Against the Spurs Friday night Barea was a -13 and Cunningham was a minus -16. I wonder if Terrell Brandon is in any shape?

Love got his first foul against Memphis midway through the fourth quarter. He should commit two fouls per game on guys walking in for layups. Nothing dirty--just send them to the line. IMO, he should have four fouls by the start of the fourth quarter just about every game until the team figures out a non-fouling strategy. Same for our other big guys--Dante, et al.

rotate the 2nd unit with a mix of the starters instead of one group of 5 for a whole new group of 5...maybe the drop off would be less? Try Dieng for Pek while keeping rest of the starters in...there should be no huge drop off of offense.

I agree with metaltester, and get our rookies some PT. We will need more from the bench as the season progresses.

..metaltester... You are right about the "rotation". Bringing a group at the same time and pulling almost all the starters is a weird way to integrate the subs into the game and causes huge swings .. But its the way Adleman does business. Never saw another coach use this approach. Im not a big fan of this system.
