This is a big thumbs up for X-C skiing on the south side. The trail is fantastic!

Oh yeah this is great news. They won't be able to use these trails during the summer time just like they can't use the bike trails during the winter time.

Natural snow in other parks also cannot compete with a well maintained trail. Last year we had great snow, but state parks and trails like that are often not nearly as well groomed as Three Rivers parks. I greatly prefer three rivers parks for XC skiing. The fees are well worth it.

Stoked to ride these now. I thought they already had all these as I have biked them when training to cut thru to the hills. I don't know what your saying with "they won't be able to use these in the summer etc" you'd be surprised to see how many people bike on snow with fatbikes, also sand.

" just like they can't use the bike trails during the winter time" .........Riders use the trails at Elm Creek, Wirth, River Bottoms, Lebanon Hills, Murphy Hanrehan, Carver Lake and more on a daily basis even at -10°, drillforoil. Just because you can't see them or believe they are there, doesn't make it so. And that is just the dirt off road trails.

Three Rivers Parks are a world class regional park system. Puts the rest of the metro (especially the east metro) to shame. Actually for skiing they are magnitudes better than the state parks. Nice job Three Rivers! Best $50 (trail pass) I will ever spend.

Oh whsuks - how many people use these bike trails during the winter. 4 or 5 riders a winter? What a waste of my taxes on bike roads and winter trails. This money should be going to help the schools and the kids.

Private landowners next to Hyland Park have their land values double, by being next to a quality park maintained at public expense. And how do they express their appreciation? They complain about noise. The park was there before you built your house. The park is why you built your house where you did. The park is a public resource, not your private playground. If you don't like the park, please leave and let someone else move in.
