Sen. John McCain says CIA didn't tell Congress the truth about American missing in Iran

WASHINGTON — Sen. John McCain said Sunday that the CIA has not been forthcoming with the Congress on details about an American who disappeared while on a secret intelligence mission to Iran.

Is anyone shocked that the CIA would not tell the truth? I will accept that there are some things best not revealed about their business, but the cost of doing so leaves everything they say open to question.

So why the shock? The CIA is never forthcoming, not to Congress, not to the president, not to anyone. Which generally I might not care except for some words: words like Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Bay of Pigs, Iraq, Iran, and who knows how many others? So write off an American citizen? Sure, they've written off thousands of Americans that died in the wars they created. What is one more?
