His 42 points vs. the Spurs stood out, but so did the way the Wolves stopped scoring when Love did.

There is no doubt Love will opt out and look for a new long term deal in 2015. I still have a hard time seeing him not taking more guaranteed money to stay with the Wolves. The Wolves can offer him a 5th year, other teams can only offer him 4 years. There is no guarantee that Love will command a max deal six years from now. The 5th year of his deal will be worth more than 20 million. Hard to believe he will pass that up. The thinking behind not giving Love the 5 year deal in the first place was to give the Wolves the chance to sign Love and Rubio to 5 year deals at the same time. They should have given Love the 5th year, but this is what the Wolves are dealt with now. I'm guessing Love will stay to play with Rubio. He will also stay because of about 30 million guaranteed dollars the Wolves can give him compared to other teams.

Love or no Love, this team will always be bad.

so, Love is doing the job he is getting big bucks to do, its time the other wolves step up and do the same.

Much as other valuable players have done before, Kevin Love will pass on the Wolves and take a smaller contract with a better team. Love is a competitor and the Wolves, collectively, aren't. If by accident David Kahn had created a good, contending team, Love may have stayed, but Kahn destroyed the team. And his coup de grace contract snub of Love--one of the league's best players--will guarantee Love moves on and renders the Wolves a league afterthought for several more years. Flip will have a Herculean task undoing the damage done by professional sport's worst GM in history.

Wolve's management is at a very pivotal point in their redevelopment efforts. They need to dedicate themselves immediately to a demonstrated commitment to the future. Love may enjoy playing with Rubio ... but I am not yet convinced Rubio is the answer at the point. Very inconsistent ... and seemingly more style than substance. I wish Flip the very best over the next (10) months. If the requisite commitment hasn't materialized in tangible improvements by the beginning of the 2014 season (i.e. next fall), it may be too late.

Of his 42 points only 7 of Love's points were in the 4th quarter in the last game against San Antonio......the star of your team turns it on in the 4th quarter against good teams....I am still waiting

Almost every game comes down to the last minute of play. The Wolves have to learn how to win the close ones, which means they need to stop the other teams hot shooter and run plays to open shots for Love. The Spurs won because they double-teamed Love and let his teammates take the shots which they missed. Meanwhile Adelman let Parker do his thing. So much for getting that shut down defender for our number two pick.
