A couple thoughts: 1, Playing AP this week would be foolish. 2, I hope that this is Cook's (4 years-no interceptions) last season with the Vikings. I bleed purple but hope they lose out and draft defense next spring.

Agree with both of your points.. Shut AP down in these meaningless games for the sake of his career's longevity. CC has been an embarrassment on and off the field. Draft a QB right away and then draft D the rest of the way. Overpay for a very good OG via FA, too.

Agree with the above posters, however just want to add, would rather have, a better GM than Spielman, making the draft decisions this coming year. After the second round in our past drafts, Spielman, has failed big time.

The dumb Vikings coaching staff will put AP in harms way this week, why would they care anyway? Hopefully, we will not see these idiots (coaching staff) next year. It does not matter what your star player says, I hope Wilf will think in terms of his future investment and not let AP play. AP I know you are not the type to back off, but please think in terms of your health dude. Don't waste on these dumb games. Think about next year, we will be outside train hard for it in the offseason, we will get a decent draft pick and lets kick some butt with a new coaching staff.

here's a news flash for you folks. Freeman will be the starter next year. he's much better than any of the kids coming out in the draft. He has far superior physical tools and has had success and he's still just a kid. His personal issues will be all cleared up by next year and with the WRs we have he'll put up big numbers and the Vikes will make the playoffs. The one game he played means nothing. he and patterson will be the next big combo in the NFL.

Keep him off the field and trade him. Hes had his best years.

I can't see how Freeman would be the starter next year. How were they able to evaluate him with only playing one game? The whole Freeman thing to me is very bizarre and we will have a new coach next year anyways....

Could someone with the long-term interests of the Vikings in mind (or at least someone who will be here next year) please start making these decisions?
