I have seen Phantom many times over the last 20 years, in a few different places. And the production I attended 12/14 was the most disappointing I have ever attended. Besides not staying true to the original which was confusing, it reminded me of a High School production with the quality of sets and quality of the performances. So much was missing yet the ticket price was still high and not the worth for this production. There were also 2 "technical difficulties" that stopped the show for 45 minutes, irresponsible for a "Broadway" production, again more attune to a High School production. The sets were built for center viewing also, missing a third of the set if you were to the side, this wasn't the case in the past. If you have a desire to see a Broadway production this holiday, go see Wizard of Oz and stay away from the disaster.
