Great story. I sure hope the young woman receives a reward. I'd be willing to bet that 9 out of 10 19 year olds would keep the money.

She sounds awesome, but him?? Let's see... Lost 2800 bucks IN A MCDONALDS. Not buying Christmas presents for anyone but a truck for himself. Sounds like America's finest.

Great story with a happy ending. What a better place we'd all live in if everyone was as honest as this young lady.

Come on folks - this is a wonderful story of a young person doing something nice. Let's not spoil it by critizing anyone. Think about it, he's buying a truck with $2800 cash? That doesn't buy you alot of truck these days so he may not have much in the first place and we don't know the back story about what this man's personal life is-maybe he was buying it for his son! Let's just enjoy the fact that one human being went out of her way to be wonderful and honest to another. THANK YOU ERICA!

I'm sure that 9 out of 10 young people who support President Obama and are advocates of the nanny state would undoubtedly keep the money.

ohyoubetcha - how do you assume he wasn't buying Christmas presents for anyone? Maybe THAT particular bank withdrawal was for a truck (and that money wasn't exactly going to buy anything fancy), but how are you so certain and so cynical that the man didn't buy gifts for Christmas? Why do some people have to be so negative?

ohyou... "Lost 2800 bucks IN A MCDONALDS." Um, is there a requirement we can only lose stuff in certain places, judged by you to be accdptable? "Not buying Christmas presents for anyone"... HOW do you know what he's buying, or not buying, for WHO?!? "but a truck for himself."... People need transportation. Is that a BAD thing? "Sounds like America's finest."... He's probably just like the rest of us, just trying to get through life. Who are YOU to judge, ohyou?

That's awesome. That man could have been buying a truck to run a business, potentially devastating in a paycheck to paycheck world.

It is nice that this lady did the right thing. Too bad the slim chance of anyone else doing it makes this newsworthy.
