FDA takes steps to phase out antibiotics in meat, asks drug companies to change labeling

WASHINGTON — Citing a potential threat to public health, the Food and Drug Administration is taking steps toward phasing out the use of some antibiotics in animals processed for meat.

that's going to work about as well as trickle-down did. FDA has banned agricultural antibiotics before, why not now?

Why worry about antibiotic resisant disease organisms when there is money to be made rasing animals for food in crowded unsanitary conditions.

It's so way, way beyond time to take steps in this direction I don't know whether to be relieved or depressed.
