This is a nice post and an example of good journalism. It goes back into the record and calls out Frazier out for his ridiculous statements, meaningless cliches and inconsistencies. If only the media in general had performed its job in the off-season instead of repeating the official Frazier/Spielman line about Ponder's supposed improvement over the last 4 games of 2012, the Vikes might have been forced to have an open competition for starting QB.

The QB rotation has certainly not done Frazier any favors in supporting his football savvy. I think it is very obvious Frazier has to go with Cassel as anyone can see the offense plays better with him. He see's the field way better and faster than Ponder ,in my opinion.

robb123, I agree,Cassel makes Ponder look like a High School QB playing at the college level. But I thing the Vikings will make excuses for him like he had to get out of the pocket too soon because the O-Line wasn't protecting him. The problem is that the O-Line gave the same protection for Cassel this past week and he still stayed in the pocket longer and found more receivers. Ponder needs to go. You only get so many chances to prove yourself and the time is up.

Previously undisclosed concussion? Have not we heard this one before? Mr. Frazier, I am wondering how all the story-telling Ziggy and Rick has you doing for the media fits with your beliefs? And now that NFL has become an obvious tool of the NSA with the deal made last year to use all NFL stadiums for civil emergency detention centers, perhaps it is time to consider getting out of the NFL.

LETS SIGN OR TRADE FOR EITHER JOSH MCCOWN OR JAY CUTLER IN THE OFF SEASON.WE DRAFT A QB WITH OUR 1ST PICK MANZIEL OR DEREK CARR AND WE WOULD THEN HAVE A NICE QB SITUATION.CHICAGO CANT KEEP BOTH.MIKE SHANAHAN WILL BE AVAILABLE AS WELL.HE COULD BRING IN HIS ASSISTANTS TO HELP CLEAN UP THIS MESS.LETS NOT FORGET HE WON 2 STRAIGHT SUPERBOWLS IN DENVER AND IS A BRILLIANT OFFENSIVE MIND WITH ALOT OF EXPERIENCE.THEY SHOULD ALSO MAKE ME THE NEW GM.

Great Article calling out Frazier! And it's not just the QB situation either. It's the oversight not playing Patterson, the loses being out coached. Not holding a QB competition when your #1 guy is being out played by everyone else. The timeout's when leading a game in the final minute. The list goes on. I don't see how Frazier can keep his job for next year and he BETTER NOT.

It's simple, play Cassel to win or play Ponder for the draft! ANyone else find it ironic that we play Ponder to get a better replacement for him next year?

Keep Cassel around next year, draft a QB and see what happens. Ponder and Freeman need to go.

The whole Freeman thing is completely bizarre. I wish I was getting 2 mil to just sit around....

I agree Rondodondo. The Freeman thing is bizarre. Must be nice to sit around listening to beats and watching film. Funny how you don't hear anything about Freeman...
