Sid, I don't think that Ziggy should take into account what people will think or feelings when it comes to coach positions (or the hot seat now called Spielman), It is business and we need staff in place with a proven record of winning...aka"the Tuna"...maybe you can dial him up for us..? Isn't Minnesota sick & tired of consistent mediocrity? I mean look at Boston or Dallas...

The vikings / Ravens games basically sums up the entire season for the loser jinxed purple which is - very few wins, plenty of excuses, poor play, clueless coaching and mishap after mishap. Even Sid knows that The vikings "spoiled" their season before it even started. I can't wait for the "house cleaning" to begin although I'm sure the Lions, Bears and Packers would just love it if Speilman, Frasier and Ponder all come back next year and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that and....

Ponder and Frazier need to go. Spielman should stay. (let the hate begin). Spielman did not give Frazier an extension after last year, and he has done an exceptional job in the draft (besides Ponder).

Hey Sid, isn't it really the owner, general manager and coaches who spoiled this season???

phrancoisDec. 8, 1311:47 PM

Urban Meyer coached the Florida Gators, not Florida State Sid!

Speaking of four games that we lost in the final seconds. And by the way, let it be known that all were lost due to poor coaching! And, as long as we are talking about "what if's". What if we hadn't won our last four games last year and the coaching staff remained the same? Undoubtedly, the Vikings' coaching staff would be fired this year! It's time to let this coaching staff go and hire someone with a proven record because we have owners that will spend the money.

spoiled their season? Their season was done long before this game. Good teams find ways to win in those final seconds.

If, if, if. What if They didn't win a meaningless game against Washington 3 years ago. What if they didn't trade the future for Herschel. What if, what if, what if. I'm OK with the loss as a win does nothing for us and it's now about draft position and player evaluations. The evaluation part should be pretty easy.

bearclaw500: no hate here... you said what Hartman should have said.... I knew the season was lost, when someone made the statement, "Ponder gives us the best chance to win." and that was a half truth.... the rest of the comment that was truncated, said... "Ponder gives us the best chance to win........ the first draft choice."

And sid... if you want to give us a scoop, why haven't we seen Freeman again? And if you insist that it was because we were still in contention; well... we aren't now! I suspect there are a few fans that would like to see the kid play at least one more time.... and then decide....
