DES MOINES, Iowa — The television ads show a series of medical mishaps: a man kicking the wrong leg in a reflex check, a urine sample bottle that won't open for a frustrated patient and a blood pressure cuff letting out a strange noise when the doctor presses the plastic bulb.

Obamacare is a joke but it's as funny as a heart attack.

I have family in Iowa that is pretty upset that this company does not support the exchange. It's no joke to the thousand of Iowan's who have been buying insurance from this company for years, paying high dollar premiums for high deductible plans that have left them unable to afford basic health exams or preventative care. I know my relatives haven't had the basic blood tests and other routine screening tess for years. This insurance company is the poster child for what the ACA is trying to change. I for one, hope that it succeeds so my relatives can get preventative health care.

I thought the ACA, along with the exchanges, were suppose to lower rates by increasing competition. How is competition increased when you have more choices off the exchanges than you have on them?

Blue Cross Blue Shield is a non profit, believe it or not. And they have one of the biggest monopolies on health insurance in the country. In some states they are the only choice. Someone should maybe make a few crank ads about them.

You can purchase insurance off the exchange. You just will not be eligible for the premium subsidies. So why would someone do that?

So this is what health insurers do when they are not busy ripping people off?? I would never support the GOP, I have tired of their untruthful, lacking in fact, attacks on "Obamacare", but the Left has been bought and paid for too, the problem with the ACA is that it doesn't fix the real problem. It addresses some issues but by and large was a gift to the corporate insurance industry... Single payer, medicare for all is the real and only fix....

But the papers say Obamacare is working fine-and they wouldn't lie would they? especially after Obama spent around a billion dollars of taxpayer money to make it work-(the cost of this bomb is hidden from America) spending money is the only thing Obama does well-and diehard DEMOCRATs would vote for Hitler if he were on the Democratic ballot-
