He should have bolted with Harvin: Frasier and Ponder are bringing the ship down with them.

barry Sanders never bolted from the really bad Lions. Why should AP go elsewhere?

Too bad Peterson will never win a Super Bowl ring playing for the loser vikings!!! He can capture all the individual rushing records he wants but the fact remains he will never be considered the "greatest" (which he never will be bcause Jim Brown was and will always be the greatest RB in NFL history) unless he wins a Super Bowl and that will never happen as long as he plays for the loser vikings. The only thing Peterson will ever win in a viking uniform is the top spot on the NFL Network's "Top 10 RBs in the NFL that never won a Super Bowl Ring". Congrat A.P., you finally made the big time!!!

Here's hoping Manziel, Mariota, Bridgewater, Hundley, or Winston--really any college QB with a pulse--somehow end up with the Vikings and help Peterson realize his full potential. It's a shame to watch a historically great running back play for a lousy team thanks to Rick Spielman.

I think it's time for all of us to get real about drafting a great quarterback. The odds are really bad and the odds are even worst when you have a GM, a scouting staff, and a coaching staff that have no idea of how to draft a quarterback. For example: In that 2011 draft the only 3 quarterbacks that were for sure rated ahead of Ponder by almost everyone were taken. None of those quarterbacks is any good either. Ponder may actually be as good as any of them because they are that bad. In 2011 the 3 quarterbacks that went ahead of Ponder were all mentioned by the experts as possible franchise quarterbacks. To summarize: If Cassel or Freeman are any good there is no way we should draft a quarterback.

This team cannot and will not win with this staff of losers. Its too bad because AP deserves better.

So nice to have a superstar who isn't a prima donna. He could easily whine about that list of q.b.'s he's played with. What a collection of garbage. I'd love to see him obliterate the all-time rushing record. Emmitt Smith had the luxury of playing with a great o-line, q.b., and wide receiver. Peterson has all but three of those advantages.

AP is on tract to put him at the very top of a very elite and storied bunch of HOF RB's. This Vikings fan sincerely hopes he makes it. A monumental accomplishment in itself, almost unbelievable if he has achieve this playing with some of the substandard players and coaches the Vikings currently have.

We have the best running back in the league and one of the worst teams. It is going to be a interesting off season. If Adrian is hurt, he shouldn't be playing. We are 3-8. That one game he got 40 yards because he was hurt. What in the - - - - is doing out there. I could go on and on.

Bruisedup, Do you even watch the NFL? Saying that none of the 3 QBs taken ahead of Ponder are good is insane. In case you forgot (and aren't actually a completely imbecile), a kid by the name of Cam Newton was taken first overall by the Panthers. All he has done this year is lead a team with virtually no offensive weapons to a 9-3 record. And as far as personal accomplishments go, he was the offensive ROY and has already been in a ProBowl. So yeah, he's certainly not better than Ponder. Now, as for the other 2 QBs who went before Ponder, they are both fairly sketchy. Just like Ponder. Although Locker will most likely have a better career, Gabbert is even worse than Ponder. But the real issue isn't the QBs that went in the draft before Ponder, it's the ones that came after him. Do he names Andy Dalton or Colin Kaepernick ring a bell. Even TJ Yates has won a playoff game, which is something that will never happen with Ponder at QB. In closing, Ponder sucks. The Coaching staff sucks. The bulk of the Defense sucks. The GM sucks. You know who doesn't suck; Cam Newton, Coolin Kaepernick or Andy Dalton.
