Why spend 2 million on Freeman and not play him?

The Viking's offence seem malleable to whomever is QB, but the defense has been the primary factor in most all the losses, but they have even become improved thanks to replacements. Never had a bad thing to say about Cassel and right now and the immediate future, he is the Viking's best bet by far for at the very least his continuity.

Gutsy move by Frazier...naming his starting QB on Wednesday. Wow!

Does Frazier have any ability whatsoever to evaluate talent? Everyone could see in training camp and after the Pittsburgh game that Cassel is far superior to weak-armed, indecisive, no-pocket-presence-Ponder, yet Frazier keeps asserting "Ponder gives us the best chance to win." Frazier refused to start Rhodes until Josh Robinson, who grades as the worst corner in the league, got injured. Cordarrelle Patterson got almost no touches for 10 games. Cole got cut. The rest of the league, as well as almost every analyst out there, is laughing at the train-wreck that Frazier made of this season.

Is anyone actually buying the concussion story for benching Ponder? Seems like every time he struggles and the coach needs some excuse to get him out of the lineup, an "injury" is brought to light. First, the broken rib that never seemed to come up until Ponder stunk and now the concussion. Very convenient.

Mattyk95 the fact that ponder failed the in game concussion test seems to point to a real injury. Also on Freeman the word is he is very inaccurate and that the Giants game wasn't a outlier, but the norm. Don't expect to see him unless both Cassel and Ponder are hurt.

My question is-is anybody else sick and tired of Frazier tip toeing around things? " we will have to evaluate after Monday and see where we go from there". Blah, blah, blah. Same stuff every week. Make a decsion and move on. Maybe this team would have been better this year with some consistency from the head coach!

..Cassel may be better, but that can only be proven over the long haul., Chances are that behind this swiss cheese of a offensive line he is just another QB waiting for a separated shoulder or concussion to knock him out. of course, telegraphing the plays by running AP up the middle on 1st and 2nd most of the times doesnt help much either,

Cassel should've been the starter from Day 1.
