Couldn't of happened to a nicer guy!

It never ceases to amaze and amuse me how the members of the far left media (redundant, sorry) are afflicted with diarrhea of the mouth every time a conservative female gets some pub. As far as I'm concerned Palin & Bachmann are non-factors on the political scene but these media drones (including the Strib) are Pavlovian in their responses.

The headline reads "Governor Palin", but remember she quit being Governor after 2 years. Something about it being too hard or something, but she is not the Governor, she is the former, half-term Governor, and she should be very proud of that accomplishment.

The irony is that Bashir committed the exact sin he was pointing out in Palin, the failure to think before opening one's mouth. You do not win anyone over to your point of view by stooping to the level you claim to abhor.

Too bad he wasted his righteous anger on someone so irrelevant.

There are stupid spontaneous comments made by all of us which are blurted out in anger and just as quickly regretted. Then there are those which betray a deep hatred of an individual or group. Mr. Bashir's were the latter. His comments were carefully considered and articulated and as revulsive as anything ever uttered on TV. In fact, their selection seemed almost pathologically researched since few people would have been familiar with them in their original context. This is a person who needs help, something which was likely stressed by MSNBC's president and which led to Mr. Bashir's departure. What Mr. Bashir said cannot be excused or forgiven by a simple apology but only by getting the counseling he obviously needs.

Now help me understand this, Palin supporters pressured MSNBC to change a show host. And if MSNBC declined what were they going to do? Double their time watching FOX News? It's like Red Sox fans protesting who is batting lead off for the Yankees. Their opinion is meaningless...

He probably went too far but people like Palin can push you do say things like this. Palin is a waste of space. She is reason so many in this country are ignorant. You certainly don't see any anchors resigning from Fox News. They lead the pack in irresponsible, hateful, division lies against the President and pretty much anyone who doesn't agree with them. I prefer folks who tell it like it is.

Good. One the hate-filled waste of time "network", he was the most hateful. He offered nothing.
