More kettle kindness from Salvation Army's mysterious 'St. Grand'

Another round of mystery moola struck the Salvation Army’s red kettles, bringing to six the number of anonymous donations in the form of 10 $100 bills so far this fundraising season.

Here we go again. Same old story that for quite a while has surfaced every year. I think it's a public relations ploy. It certainly gets a lot of publicity.

Probably better to give to an organization which is not anti-gay and spreading hate instead of holiday cheer.

Strib censors disliked my comment that this cash might be stolen or embezzled. Did I step over a line? Who gives cash when there is a tax deduction for charitable gifts?

I try to put a dollar in every kettle I pass over the holidays. Of course, I try to avoid shopping at Target, who kicked out the bell ringers a few years back.

Good for Target - choose to work with organizations who don't spread the message of hate. Seems especially tasteless this time of year.
