Think of the next few days as dress rehearsal for what is to come: winter.

Gawd I hope not! But it is a little early for a string of below-zero. And it's not the snow this week that'll be a problem. It will be when we've had a few bright, sunny, frigid days, followed by a slight warmup, with snow. THAT STUFF will stick like cement to the roadways and it'll be weekday morning gridlock (my favorite time of the year)

Time to leave the office early and finish work up from home... The first few snowy commutes are always a disaster.

We won't break any record lows. Global warming and such...

At least we made it through November without any snow. Having snowpack on the ground before December is what really turns it into a long winter.

Just drive carefully like all native Minnesotan's. Be aware of the inexperienced transplant.

mnborn2 - Yeah, it's the non-natives that cause 500 some accidents the first five times it snows. I hope that you're being sarcastic, as I don't see any difference in winter driving skills from people in Colorado, Michigan, Connecticut, and Minnesota.

The states you mention all have reputations for lots of snow.

I work with a lot of transplants and some complain about Minnesota drivers in the winter after a snowfall. I tell them that I don't remember the problems on the roads before they arrived. Beware of the transplant.
