Me likey this! Nolasco, Hughes, AJ, Garza(fingers crossed, highly unlikely), and a starting CF(bring Nard-Dog back).

Mixed bag for me. He wouldn't have been my choice for a 2nd arm to add on the starting rotation by any stretch, but he's not washed up. Hughes averaged 7.5 K's per 9 innings in a horrible year. It does tend to suggest, once he's out of the Yankee bandbox, he can be effective......and yeah, his HR totals the last 2 years are frightening and his hits/inning pitched last year was terrible. I hope he pans out for us, but this looks like Terry Ryan thinking he's the smartest guy in the room again and reaching.....there were better options.

That's how its done, when "the fans" said that it couldn't be done. You sign one, the another is interested. Then another.

They still haven't spent that much money. Nolasco's deal doesn't quite pay what Morneau was making, while Hughes deal pays a little more than what we were paying Blackburn last season to pitch in the minors.

good moves, expensive but you have to overpay for free agent pitchers now days. bring back aj would be big. get some fire and personality back on this team.
