MnSCU charts a smart new course for the future

Good article Roger and this is the kind of reform that is necessary. They should redirect some of the bailout money going to the U to accelerate this. The efforts at the U so far are disappointing and are not deserving of taxpayer support. This is kind of commonsense action needed.

When the oligarchs send their children to a MnSCU school, that's when we'll know the reform is working. Otherwise, it's just a place to send Malcolm because he isn't bright enough to go to Yale.

Nothing will change as long as professors are rewarded for attracting grants and writing papers. They are not rewarded on outcomes. As one professor told me once "It's easier to change the course of history than to change a course in History....."
