Who's paying these extra subsidies? Why wasn't the original site monitored enough to be sure the first time?

This is different than the KSTP report. They reported people were lead to believe they qualified for better deals than what they later learned to be the true (higher) $$$ amount. It is amazing to see the MNSURE Strib coverage, vs other outlets over the last two months = kind, to say the very least.

Oh look free subsidies. Just another transfer of someones else's money to someone else.

THE STRIB is always very good at sending out reporters to find victims EXCEPT when it comes to finding victims of DFL theories. [mnsure]

I like how MNSure refers to their 40,000 errors as "hiccups" - very similar to the term "glitches" that you hear all the time from the ObamaCare defenders. I think most people understand that both characterizations are pure spin and driven by politics.

Why aren't officials also looking to see who got subsidies that shouldn't have?

I have been trying to select a MnSure plan for weeks and cannot do so. I called the help desk a number of times and was told many are having problems enrolling and that I should wait a week and try again. Finally, today I called again after once again the system did not work. This time, the staff person wrote up a job ticket so, who knows, maybe in a hundred years MnSure will provide a way to enroll. It doesn't look all that hopeful. This is such a sad roll out for the ACA in Minnesota. First we have some rather lousy policies for those able to pay premiums and we can't even enroll for those. Shame, shame on our state politicians and staff who helped create a total mess.

Jeremy Olson, what amazing spin you put on this piece! StarTrib please tell it like it is and stop cheerleading this disaster. After all, if you had done your job from the beginning, we would've known this disaster was coming.

"While most determinations on the exchange were correct, a few of them wrongly denied people access to benefits to which they are entitled next year". Entitled to, and therein lies the problem.

Oh my goodness, the "gremlins, glitches and hiccups" are causing problems with the software again. Maybe they should bring in an exorcist. The writer should tell it like it is and not make up supernatural excuses.
