I like the look; it will match First Ave. well!

I like the look, good move to "save" Block E! It's too bad they couldn't do it right the first time though. Also glad to hear that Starbucks, Jimmy Johns and Kieran's will remain!

The original developer of Block E failed to do many of the things the city requested in the design. It seems the new owner gets it! This will be awesome. And may all developers learn that shopping malls do not work in Downtown Minneapolis.

Awesome news!!! This place has been such a dump and an eyesore to downtown. Dangerous and just plain nasty. It has so much potential.

This is great news! 7th and Hennepin needs some love. Block E being largely vacant has sucked a lot of life out of an otherwise healthy part of downtown. The 1st Avenue and 6th Street sides have fared much better with Graves Hotel, Kieran's and Jimmy John's sticking around. 7th Street is a key northbound approach from the core of downtown up to Target Center (getting its own renovation) and Target Field. It would be great to see the sidewalks widened and bus shelters improved as well. The Downtown Improvement District does a great job keeping this area clean, but the infrastructure itself is lacking.

It really looks good, but it won't succeed if the violence and perception of the violence in the warehouse district isn't seriously dealt with.

Cool! I'm for it just as long as they make sure and put lots of chain retailers that already exist, Ad nauseam, in all the suburban "Dales" people will be certain to flock to the location. Just as they have done to every other "downtown mall" like City Center" and Gaviidae Commons.

I doubt downtown needs anymore office space, but I definitely welcome the use of the building as a practice facility for the wolves and lynx. I never understood how they could section off half the courts appropriated to lifetime for these two teams, looking forward to more gym space.

It NEVER should have been built, and the city should NEVER do real estate development. Imagine if Block E had instead been made a wonderful outdoor plaza, a place for pre-game concerts, winter skating, and noontime luncheons. Opportunity lost, and now a debacle. Tear it down, make a plaza.

Happy something is being done to salvage the project but I would have preferred brick exterior. Brick is classic and always in style. Metal facades come and go.
