The Badgers have been known for their classy actions for years. Kind of like going for 2 when up 41-16 with 4 minutes to go.

Classless move by Gophers. Bucky won the axe and with it comes the goalpost chop. No reason for Gophers to get in the middle of that. If Gophers don't like the axing, then they should make a few more plays during the game. Reverse the score and the sight and Gophers would do the same thing with the axe. Really bush move by UM

So totally appropriate by the Gophers. This may be as indicative as anything how our program is recovering it's pride. It's our house, and while we got beat by a little, don't let the cheesheads rub it in. If anything, we should have kicked them in the shins as they approached. We played really well tonight. Our QB's eyes get a little wide sometimes when the big play is staring him in the face. He'll get better. Wisc. QB is really quite bad. Put any pressure on him and he is a turnover machine.

Wisconsin earned the right. The Gophers should have stood down. By the way, classless is when the Iowa players and fans tore down OUR goal posts and got away with it.

To the victor (which ever one it is) belongs the spoils and goal posts. This is a great tradition over many decades and to alter it now is really bush league. Sorry Gophers, you were wrong on this one. You don't change the long standing rules and traditions at the last moment when you are smarting from a loss. Great game on both sides, though. Looking forward to the spirit next year. Congrats to both sides for a game both sides can be proud of.

Winners Win and Losers Lose. Sad to see the Gophers being so petty to tradition. As a fan I was embarrassed by this classless act. I can only imagine this happened because this team lost site of history after losing ten straight times. I can't imagine what will happen when the finally win it, especially if it happens at their place. How will they act? Honor tradition or classless losers!

Good to see a little pride from the Gophs. This is great for the game and the rivalry. No one got hurt. A little tension is a good thing.

17 out of past 19 axe games have gone to Badgers, not much of a rivalry. Goofs should maybe have done a better job protecting the end zone during the game than they did after the game, deal with it. Scoreboard.

As always a total lack or class by the Gopher Football team. Nothing has changed. I would expect the coaches could have shown some class in spite of their players. Some things never change.

Wisconsin should have just stuck to the far(west) end. There was nobody there, as our players were still gathering with the student section at the east end, which is OUR tradition after every game, win or lose. They decided one goal post wasn't enough, and tried to push their way into our east goal post gathering, and were pushed back, as they should have been. It was clearly a lack of class and respect by the Badgers. They easily could have waited until we went to the locker room.
