"Not quite accurate" and "blown out of proportion"? What a joke. He lied! And he probably won an election by telling the lie. So I do not think it was blown out of proportion. If a CEO misled investors to that extent, the SEC and Holder would be filing suit. Proper disclosure is required of private citizens in public companies. Why can politicians lie with immunity?

How about if the StarTribune tries to investigate and write its own story, rather than publish a piece of propaganda from an outfit that defines itself as being biased?

"Broken promise?" No, outright LIE. Barack Obama KNEW in 2010 that most Americans would NOT be able to keep their health insurance. Why? Because of HIS regulations! Yet, Obama repeated that lie that people could keep their health insurance over and over and over and over because his mindless voters needed reassurance of what evil, scheming people those Republicans are and Obama needed to appeal to the cognitively deficient for votes. And even though health insurance COSTS WERE SKYROCKETING when Barack Obama said that "The Republicans don't want people to have affordable health care", the Obama lie machine continued churning out lies, the media continued reporting them as if they were gospel truth, and to this very day the majority of the dimwits who voted for him believe it is the evil Republicans to blame for everything that the Democratic Party created. EVERYTHING that is happening with Obamacare to people losing coverage, to skyrocketing premiums, to millions being added to the welfare state, to the general government incompetence embodied in the failure that is the HealthCare.gov website, EVERYTHING was ACCURATELY predicted by Republicans back in 2009 and that is why EVERY Republican in the House and Senate voted against this Obamacare. And by the way, how stupid must you be not to see these problems coming and to believe the lies of the Democrats that all those mandates (free this, free that, free birth control pills, can't charge a co-pay for mammograms, etc.) are going to lower costs when simple logic dictates that costs will increase? Which is EXACTLY what happened just like Republicans told you it would?

Last I heard it was the Insurance companies that cancelled the policies...they could have just revised them, as they do every year anyway. What I can't figure out is why the GOP voted 42 times to overturn ACA...which would deny 30mn folks of access to health care insurance...then all of a sudden they are concerned about a million or so that have to upgrade their policies. Are they really concerned, or is this just another anti Obama rant...I feel a Daryl Issa committee hearing coming on...that poor guy just can't find that witch.

So many posters do not have a clue. The insurance companies could "just revise the policies". Insurance companies cannot issue or revise any policy without approval of state insurance commissioners. And that is a long...like two year...process. Obama was about as informed as some of these posters.

There's ample evidence that Obama's "broken promise" was in fact a lie. Please don't treat Americans for fools any longer, media.
