Whatever it takes to cut the totally outrageous fees paid to real estate brokers and agents. There is so much glad handing and back rubbing in the real estate sales sector that there should be criminal investigations at every level. The idea that someone can claim they earned the $12,000 for the sale of a $200,000 house is ludicrous. What the real estate industry does is attack and attempt to push any organization that works to cut the costs of selling your home out of the market.

Why should a real estate agent who sells just 15 $200,000 homes during the year make $90,000 a year and his brokerage another $90,000? Something is wrong in the industry when this happens.

I like the concept but still feel the cost is too high. I've done FSBO successfully for years offering a 2.6-3.3% commission to the buyer's agent and no seller's agent. I can create a flyer even list on MLS myself. I've held open houses too but do less of that now. It's not for everyone but see no reason to lose a full 6-7% on a house sale.
