"Several times during 15 years in the Minnesota House, he’s been willing to hold his nose and vote for a DFL-crafted bill because he knew that vote was the price of admission to the conference committee table." Hence unacceptable to the crackpot Right which dominates today's MN GOP.

A moderate!!!??? We can't have any "rinos" running around making the operation of government actually get anything done. We have to have rigid, irrational, absurd gridlock to feel sufficiently obstinate and inflexible and, above all else, self-righteously right all of the stinking time.

Sorry, he will never get the nomination...he makes way too much sense when he opens his mouth.

Folks, this is MN. We don't elect people who actually know how to make things work. We elect people like Jesse, Franken and Dayton. People who've never led or managed anything. Franken was the final passing vote on Obamacare. He caused this mess. But MN will re-elect him because Minnesotans would rather look to gov't for handouts than take care of themselves.

When Lori Sturdavent endorses Abler, I have all the information I need. Turn and run, conservatives, as fast as you can!

"Obamacare went wrong when it focused entirely on access, and not on cost and quality." .... where does he think the medical homes and expanding community clinics funding came from? Yep. The ACA. Anybody who says the ACA doesn't focus on cost and quality doesn't know anything at all about the ACA. There is absolutely nothing he could do as a US Senator to get Republicans in Congress to support fixing the ACA.

Abler becomes a health care bill sponsor, gets on the conference committee to make sure chiropractor reimbursements are not cut, then he removes his name as a sponsor and votes against the bill. His antics to uphold Pawlenty's GAMC veto render Abler untrustworthy.

Drichman - even the CEO of the Mayo says Obamacare does nothing to reward quality care. Who would you trust with your life - Obama or Mayo?

Who would you trust with your life - Obama or Mayo? - either more than the Party of Ayn Rand.

A Mayo spokesman came out with the message that Mayo wanted to lower costs with a massive preventative care program that would find problems early. How noble. The only problem with that is that nothing Mayo or the insurance companies do supports this edict. Don't believe me? Check on the new ACA policies to see if Mayo is one of the primary care facilities listed in your policy and if you live in SE Minnesota, your premium will probably be more than double the metro area, because of the Mayo Penalty but you can't go there; without a referral.... so leave town, get your referral if you can. Quite a definition of primary care don't you think?
