What a grotesque photograph; what a grotesque activity.. the bloodlust play-acting.. of the phony frontiersman..

By my math, the combined ages of Hunter and gun in this story is 233.

Just think, he used to take his gun to school and leave it against a tree till he went home. No one stole it and he didn't shoot anyone. They killed their own food to eat. Might be some lessons to be learned from days gone by.

May I be enjoying the God's outdoors and gifts as I age like this gentleman. What a great family legacy of appreciating nature and its gifts.

Great story, great photo.

Just an awesome story. And yes it is okay to ask for help with cleaning the deer as I think any good neighbor would do without hesitation. I know I would. Oh and to rjgrones, hunting is an very important tool as we for one: created more habitat for deer and two: eliminated many of their natural predators.

If you hunt you like the story. I don't hunt so I do not like the story or the photo. Didn't they use to put dead deer on car fenders and that was outlawed. How about published photo's of dead deer being outlawed too? At least in general publication newspapers. Save them for the hunting magazines.

rjgrones, you my friend are way off base. This is a wonderful story of an American Hero and his passion of hunting and using a very old gun that has been in his family for decades! Happy hunting Mr. Felt and many more!!
