As a transfer from FIU, Malik Smith is finding his place with the Gophers after being the go-to scorer.

I'm just glad he is here. It was so hard to watch guys who were in the lineup who were turnover prone and could do nothing but dunk the ball. You have to have good pure shooters on your team or you will never ever be successful I don't care how athletic someone is if you can't shoot you are pretty much useless to the team.

That was a very nice spin on a guy that so far looks totally one-dimensional. I think Dre is the guy we want taking those shots, so will be interesting to see how Malik fits on this team.

But, Dre won't always be able to take the shot...it is good to have other players who can shoot!!!
