The writer unfortunately forgot to point out that redshirt freshman, Amanda Zahui B, had a triple double for points, rebounds and blocks. First Gopher to accomplish a triple double since Janel McCarville did it in 2004 with points, rebounds and assists.

Congrats Gopher women...looking good. ESPN is now projecting them to get into NCAAs and 2014 recruiting class looks impressive. Looks like could be some good times ahead.

While this isn't the same Kansas team that went to the Sweet Sixteen the last two years (lost Carolyn Davis and Angel Goodrich to graduation), this is a good Kansas team and this is a very solid win for the program. It didn't look good in the first half and I was getting flashbacks of the Virginia game last year, but the Gophers finished the half strong and really took over in the second. What's really nice to see is the developing "inside/inside" game from Zahui and Riche - Riche hit at least three wide open ten to twelve-foot jumpers with an assist from Zahui after a double team. It's a shame that this is Riche's last year because the chemistry that is developing will create match-up nightmares for teams all season. The Gophers have got to get better at running shooters off the three point line and taking care of the ball, though. Both Creighton and Kansas were raining wide open threes during the last two games and the Gophers had some lazy turnovers in both games as well. Next two games (Navy and Loyola) should be warm-ups for the Rainbow Wahini Tournament Thanksgiving weekend. It would be nice to bring home some hardware from that trip. Go Gophers!

Error on my part. McCarville's triple double was points, rebounds and steals. About as tough as Zahui's combo.

Great win for the ladies and a super great game for Zahui who was a beast inside. I do questions Coach B's decision to go with a 6 person rotation, practically speaking. How long are the starters going to last if the bench (minus Bre McDaniel) only gets 10 minutes total playing time and doesn't contribute anything to the scoring?? From where I was sitting, part of the reason Kansas was able to make it close is that our players were gassed and not playing good defense or rebounding. I'll be interested to see what the starters have left in the upcoming Navy game!

I wish that the B10 network would cover more women's sports.

peanutman; very simple, not enough interest and interest brings sponsers and that brings money,There is a reason men's sports pay for the huge lose's from woman's sports. Even the NBA finances the WNBA! these are the cold hard facts and I have 4 daughters and enjoy women's sports!

Strong win by the Gophers, with Banham having a fine night of shooting. Things they need to work on: giving up threes, and boxing out. Kansas had 17 offensive rebounds to the Gophers' five.
