North Dakota scored three goals in the first period and the hot start was enough to end the Gophers women's record-breaking winning streak that stretched over three seasons and two years.

All streaks eventually come to end...impressive run nonetheless...a streak for the ages...those players can be proud of history created.

Amazing streak and it's good to see the MN/UND rivalry continue in women's hockey. WCHA has some great teams again this year!

Ski-U-Mah! The Gopher women have never won a game by more than ten goals. Perhaps they should put an exclamation point to start the next winning streak with a 25-0 win!

Streaks like this almost become a burden after a while. They'll probably play much more relaxed now on their way to their next championship.

How is it that a Division I college steak is at 62 games and there were only 2,400 fans in attendance?

The attendance of 2,400 was basically a sell out. When I went to get my tickets only standing room was available. I don't know the exact capacity of Ridder, but it's probably 3000 - ish with standing room tickets. So it was a good crowd. But clearly some season ticket holders were not in attendance as those seats were vacated.
