The Wild’s recent success hasn’t translated into any big move up the standings because of a conference loaded with good teams.

You can view the Wild record after the next 5 games in fairness to their schedule, they have played 12 games at home and 8 on the road, 4 of the next 5 are on the road and I think they might get 1 point in the next 3 games. Lets all be honest, they have played a cup cake schedule especially at home and that will change here shortly. This will all get corrected..... hehehehehe

man bhrnew1l more "hate" on the Wild? are you sure you're living in Minnesota? I'm done in Arkansas...and more positive than you are...and get excited with wins...I mean I was a huge North Star fan and fell in love with hockey and the local team in '68...what's your problem?

The ups and downs in the Wild's schedule will all be worked out as the season goes along. Right now, the team is winning games. Living in the moment, I am enjoying the success and entertainment of our hockey team RIGHT NOW. Whatever happens down the road will always be over-scrutinized and rashly predicted by those folks that wish to be viewed as somehow more insightful than everyone else. To those posters I say "More dire predictions? Yeah, whatever."

No hate going on here Lindy, just accountability . Making sure that proper perspective is is being discussed on the posters....... Example, you noticed that the only game this year up tempo hockey was discussed was against the worst hockey team in the league the Florida Panthers....... 6 years since the ownership change, do you care to look at the pain of the last 6 years and how last year ended Lindy ??

Sooo, no longer making predications. Going with " I might think " instead. 6 years since the ownership change, 6 years since being fired. Glad to see that you are making sure that proper perspective is is being discussed on the posters.

I'll stay bold, because so few on these boards have the desire to do so: The Wild are for real, as their system this year is far more suited for their personnel than that debacle of a system last year. Furthermore, not only will the Wild make the playoffs as the second seed in the Central Division, but they'll also advance to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they'll beat the Red Wings in seven. So chew on that "cupcake," chief.
