NJ city looks to become 2nd in US to use eminent domain to fight foreclosure

IRVINGTON, N.J. — Irvington, N.J., is moving forward with plans to become the second municipality in the nation to use eminent domain to buy mortgages that are in foreclosure.

Eminent Domain the way the City proposes to use it is theft of property. The mortgagee signed the mortgage and promised to repay the loan and now the city comes in between a private transaction. I can only hope the courts punish the communities that try this dishonest tactic
