Tough game tonight but I'll take the 2 points. I'm not sure that Florida didn't have a slight edge in overall play...

Yawn! They barely beat a horrible Florida team! Good teams destroy a team like this.

Wild were definitely outplayed, especially in the third. They were out muscled all night long as well. Yeo can get upset when people call the Wild soft, but he better back it up with play on the ice. The good news is Wild teams of the past would not have weathered the storm and would have lost. But it is a concern when you get outshot and outplayed at home against one of the worst teams in the league.

I'm a little bit worried about the goaltending situation. Unlike forwards and D, we don't have prospect goalies in the system who I think are ready to play at the NHL level. Fletcher hasn't drafted any top-tier goalies and I think its important to make sure we have depth at all positions. I hope we have the money to secure someone like Theodore.

Some can complain and nitpick all they want. I'll take the win.

Yawn. Just another win for the Wild. Let's make sure we don't give Koivu any credit for his 2 assists last night. I want to make sure we point out his turnover on the tying goal and that he lost too many faceoffs and that he isn't a #1 center. IMO, I think Yeo left the 2nd line on the bench too much. Nino only had 13 minutes and was great when he was out there. How about that hit on Kulikov? Granny was 70% on faceoffs and Pommer is Pommer. When that line was on the ice, the momentum went our way. I love our 3rd line, but they played too much. Brodziak and Cooke shouldn't play over 15 minutes very often, especially when we only have to kill 3 penalties.

Of course some people will "take the win". It's because they're casual fans who don't understand hockey. True fans will accept the occasional loss despite playing well, while being critical of a poorly played win.

Good win last night. Give Fla credit, they out played the Wild at times, but we got the win. THAT is a sign of a good team. During an 80 game season, you're not always going to be your sharpest and this was the prototypical "over look" game. We won, nice. BTW is Bjugstad going to be a beast or what?
