Nice timely recap Amelia. Like a lot of folks I couldn't see the game or hear t he broadcast on weak 1500 radio. So your report was appreciated. I'm impressed with Austin's ability to rebound. He's. developed into a real force on the boards. I did see #2 beat #1 in a squeaker and thy look awfully good. As much as I bleed maroon and gold, I know we are not ready for Big Ten play .

Pitino Nation! Hop on board now because the fans are experiencing what the players have seen in practice; this is a whole new brand of basketball and we like what we see!!

Alright, I'm and old guy, but remember the glory years of Hudson, Yates, Clarke Kunzie, and Northway. Hope the new regime can build on that. Nice going Gophers.

Amelia nice job of covering our University. I hope to be able to get a few tickets to see these Gophers live for a game or two. We should all be happy with a fresh start and the possibility of things to come. Certainly not all at once, but if everyone sticks with it we will have an exciting competitive team to follow and cheer on late into the tournament. Just be patient!

Thanks Amelia for your good work, especially on the games not televised. But why does the Star Tribune make it so hard to find a box score. I guess I'll just continue to go to ESPN.

Amelia, I generally like your reporting but you might make it a habit to have someone proof for you. There are a LOT of grammatical mistakes, word omissions and reverse word issues in sentences. Along with the fact that in one paragraph you say Hollins did this or that but never tell us if it is Austin or Andre. Just have someone proof your stuff, anyone can and will make mistakes it is dang near impossible to proof one's own work.:~)

Not mentioned here is the fact that the team got some good production out of the 4 spot. Osenieks and King combined for 18 points and 8 rebounds. The power forward-by-committee approach seems to be working for the time being. Both guys may be needed to play significant minutes going forward, at least while Walker is out.

There's only one way to make a run during March Madness... outstanding guard play. That's it.

It is a new era in Gopher BB, on the court and how it is reported! Thanks Amelia.

It's fun to see (or at least read about) a new brand of basketball and exciting wins. Let's not forget, Gopher fans, that this team has started very hot the last couple years only to have the wheels fall off mid-season and have to chew fingernails on bracket-filling day. Let's half fun watching and cheering them on, but not put them in the Final Four just yet.
