Remember the scandal of "mom jeans" from about 10 years ago? Every talk show had some fashion expert (usually the snarky Stacy London from What Not To Wear) pointing out how "unflattering" and "unfashionable" some poor women in the audience looked before shoehorning them into some ultra-low-rise, painted-on designer jeans. And I always wondered: "Where's the emergency intervention for the national outrage of 'dad jeans'?" Oh, right -- everyone from the fashion industry to diet gurus to talk shows and even local TV news during sweeps months depends on women to tune in to find out how badly they're doing at this. If you're a mom, you already have enough priorities that far outweigh this.
