Prosecutors say Boston gangster 'Whitey' Bulger 'deserves no mercy,' seek 2 life sentences

BOSTON — James "Whitey" Bulger "deserves no mercy" and should be sentenced to two consecutive life prison terms, plus five years, for a string of murders and extortions, federal prosecutors told a judge in court papers filed Thursday.

So for 11 murders convicted, and at least 8 more pretty darned sure, he gets a sentence like Bernie Madoff? He's about as likely to get out of prison at the same time as Tom Petters (i.e., not while he's alive).

Anybody else see something kind of sick about this?
